The Analysis of Discovery Learning Approach in English HOTS Teaching Video

Abstract


The purpose of the study was to provide the analysis of the teacher's instructional tactics used in the Video Pembelajaran HOTS Mapel B Inggris SMP from the YouTube channel run by Romi Siswanto. To study the strategies the instructor employs and to explain how the English teacher uses those strategies in the video's English teaching process. The approach used in this study is qualitative. As a method of gathering data for this study, observation and documentation were used. The subject of this inquiry is a HOTS Mapel B English Middle School English teacher who also serves as a video learning instructor. Data reduction, data display, and conclusion-making are all parts of data analysis. It is recommended that teachers use the techniques found by the researcher from this study. Especially for English teachers and other academics. Window shopping and one-stay, three-stray activities can be used to help students use the Discovery Learning technique to understand the topic content, which is quite helpful in the field of education. In addition, these techniques can help students in developing their reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills as well as their overall learning experience.
