THE ANALYSIS OF THE MAIN CHARACTER AS THE PROGERIA SYNDROM SUFFERER AND ITS EDUCATIONAL VALUE OF THE FILM ENTITLED THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON BY F.SCOOT FITZGERALD
Abstract
This research tries to analyze “ The Curious Case of Benjamin Button “ movie. The aims of this study are to analyze the characteristics of Benjamin Button as the the progeria syndrom sufferer in the film. This study is to find out some educational values seen in the film.This study applied a descriptive qualitative method. First, the researcher watching the film “ The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”. Second the researcher tried to identify the main character and educational values than third selected the data and nondata. Last is quoting, the researcher quoted some sentences, utterances, and dialogues of the film as the main quotations of the study. The result of this study shows that Benjamin as the main character who has sufferer progeria syndrom have some characteristic. Benjamin’s characteristics seen in this film are unyielding boy,friendly boy,care man,hard worker,trust man, honesty man,kind person,attetion man,faithful man,responsible man, merciful father, high spirit man. Finally, an educational values seen in this film like discipline, motivation,getting knowledge,courage and friendship.
