The Effectiveness Of Using Profile Picture Of Facebook In Teaching Writing Descriptive Text At Tenth Grade Students Of MA AT-TAQWA Nusawungu Cilacap In Academic Year 2012/2013

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out whether media of profile picture of facebook is effective or not in teaching descriptive text at tenth grade students of MA AT-TAQWA Nusawungu Cilacap. In this research, the researcher used quantitative research and used saturated sampling in taking the sample. After analyzing the data, the researcher concludes that teaching writing descriptive text using profile picture of facebook is effective. As the fact, the result of t-value is 4.219 based on the 0.05 significant level, the value of t-table is 2.021. The result of computation shows that t-value is higher than t-table, that is 4.219>2.021. So, it can be stated that the hypothesis “the use of profile picture of facebook for teaching writing descriptive text at tenth grade students of MA AT-TAWA Nusawungu Cilacap in the academic year 2012/2013 is effective” is accepted.
