The Effectiveness of Using “Everyone is Teacher Here” Teaching Method to Improve Students’ Speaking Ability at the Eleventh Grade of SMA WIDYA Kutoarjo in the Academic Year of 2012/ 2013

Abstract


The aim of this research is to know whether there is any effectiveness of using Everyone is Teacher Here method in teaching speaking skill to the eleventh grade students of SMA WIDYA Kutoarjo in the academic year 2012/2013. In this research, the researcher took 52 students of eleventh grade of SMA WIDYA Kutoarjo in the academic year 2012/2013 as the sample. The researcher conducted pre-test and post test. The researcher uses Everyone is Teacher Here method to teach speaking skill. Statistically, the researcher analyzed the data by using t-test. And the result of the research shows that teaching speaking skill using Everyone is Teacher Here method is effective and gives a positive contribution toward the students’ speaking ability to the eleventh grade of SMA WIDYA Kutoarjo in the academic year 2012/2013. Since it was found that the result of the t-test is 2.12. Based on the 0.05 significance level, the value of t- table is 2.00. The computation shows that the t-value is higher than t-table. That is 2.12>2.00.
